We needed a good bathroom fitter but no-one we knew had recent experience of one. So were turned to searching the internet for a local fitter with excellent reviews and came across Rob Oakley's website. We were struck by the positivity of all the reviews and made contact. First impressions were good; he came to meet with us when he said he would and responded promoptly with a quote and a start date some weeks ahead. We decided to accept the quote and wait for him. We are so glad we did. He contacted us with a date to start and turned up on that day, with Jack, his apprentice. The work went pretty much as scheduled; even the Tiler and Plasterer turned up on schedule. Where there were issues, or choices to be made, Rob talked through the options with us and we were able to resolve them The work is now complete and we are delighted with the result. |He was worth waiting for. When you open up your home to have tradespeople in, it always feels like a bit of a risk. However, we have to say that Rob and team were absolutely amazing, and treated our home with complete respect throughout, tidying and cleaning up at the end of each day. Rob, and Jack (his co-worker), installed a new bathroom for us. This was a complete rip out of the old one, replace the floor, plaster the walls and install new suite. Rob recommended an electrician (Acre Electrical Services Ltd) who was also excellent. Rob effectively project managed the whole job, liaising with the electrician and tiler to ensure everything was done without delay. We had a few problems with the furniture and the toilet pan (nothing to do with Rob’s work), which Rob helped to rectify for us. Overall Rob and team were fantastic. I know I can be an awkward customer at times, however Rob humoured all our questions and did an amazing job. We’d totally recommend him. The only downside is that because he’s so good, he has quite a waiting list. We had waited around six months and I’m glad we did as we couldn’t be more pleased.
